Welcome Fall!
The Methodist Church will be holding their Annual Rummage and Plant Sale on September 8th at the church from 3 PM - 6PM.
Also put October 7th on your calendar, as that is the day set-aside for a Brian Saaristo Benefit Day in Cromwell. Brian lost both of his feet in Iraq about 3 months ago. He sent me an email and wants to thank the whole community for all the prayers, cards, and financial support he has received over this past few months. The prayers are really paying off as he is progressing well in his recovery. He plans to be coming home soon. Maybe even for the Benefit Day.
Are you interested in writing to Pastor Matt and Sue Saarem? If so their address is 1315 B 120th Ave, Amery, WI 54001. Sue writes that their home came on August 31st and that their new well came in 45 under estimate, so that was great. The Saarem’s were in the area recently picking up more of their belongings from the parsonage.
The new Lutheran Pastor, Janeva Stromberg will be living in the parsonage soon.
Have you seen the huge rock in the Bethlehem Lutheran Churches Parking lot? It was hauled in on the 2nd and is a donation from Art and Mary Aho. It will later be inscribed and dated. After you see it, it will give you new meaning to the old songs, “Rock of Ages”, or “On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand”! It’s really pretty neat.
