The news will be brief this week.  We are enjoying a delightful fall with temperatures in the 50’s and 60’s.  It has been great for doing the yard work and banking up the houses for winter.

Our sympathy to the family of Jean Kingsley Westerland.  Her funeral was held at Bethany Lutheran Chruch in Cromwell on Wednesday, November 1st.

Calling all Veterans and active duty military.  You are invited to stop in the Co-op Store’s new Coffee Shop for a free cup of coffee and a donut any time during the week of November 11th.  For the rest of you, the Coffee is on at the Coop in their new Coffee Corner.  Please stop in for a look-see.

The Cloquet Brian Saaristo Benefit will be held at the Cloquet Armory on Saturday, November 11th.

Also don’t forget the annual Hunter’s Supper at Bethany on Friday, November 3rd and the Cromwell Community Craft Sale at the school on November 4th.

Be sure to join the Lutheran community in welcoming their new pastor, Janeva Stromberg on Sunday, the 5th.  She will be with us in our area for the next year.

Community Calendar Announcement

The Carlton County Retired Educators will meet at the Seasons Restaurant in Scanlon, MN on Tuesday, November 14th at 11:30 AM.  Luncheon at noon, followed by a short meeting and then entertainment by Sue Weets.  New members and visitors are always welcome to attend.
