Wright/Cromwell News by Jennie K. Hanson January 14, 2008

Our best wishes go out to Donna Lehti who is in St. Eligius Health Center in West Duluth at this time.  I’m sure she’d love to hear from you.  Her address is St. Eligius Health Center, 7700 Grand Ave. Duluth, Mn 55807.

Also get-well wishes go out to Art Jauss who had surgery recently for an intestinal problem.  I think he is in Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, MN.  Address is 512 Skyline Blvd, Cloquet, MN 55720 if you’d like to send a card.

If you’d like to write to Fred Olesiak, he has a new address.  Call me if you’d like it.

Art Aho, Tom and Sandy Nistler and Family want to thank everyone for everything you did for Mary Aho over the past year or so before she died.  Kenny Peterson would go over almost everyday to help out and Bailey would write back and forth with Mary and Mary just loved that.

Do you like Trivia?  If so, this year I plan to have a few trivia questions in the news once in a while.  I’ll put the answers at the end of the news, but please try to figure out the answers before you look at the answers.

This week’s Trivia – How many cars are on the back of the older ten dollar Bill?  (It has to be older than the 1993 bill.) A man left home one day and made three left turns and met a man with a mask on.  What was the first man’s profession?  And here’s one without an answer but try it anyway.  How many body parts can you name that have only 5 letters in their names. No slang, abbreviations or plurals.  Examples; Brain, wrist, or thumb.  There are at least 30.

Do you remember the Gronbeck’s?  Well I got a Christmas letter from them and I’d like to share parts of it with you.  As most of you remember, Jim Gronbeck was Pastor at Bethany/Bethlehem Lutheran Churches in the 1980’s or 90’s.  Jim, Julie, and Kristen were part of a Mission Trip to Jamaica in the early part of last year.  They spent time with the children at the Westhaven Orphanage and their evenings at the Sunset Beach Resort on Montego Bay.  Andrea and Matthew are in college now.  Matthew is in his final year of computer engineering at ND State i8n Fargo and Andrea is at Southwest State in Marshall majoring in Elementary Education.  Kristen is busy in high school with all her athletic, musical, church and drama activities.  Jim is still at Zion in Amor, and Julie is at Battle Lake School in the Title I Program.  Sounds like they are all happy and healthy.  Good to hear from them!

Little Alexis Joy Obando, daughter of Rozzie and Fabio Obando was baptized at Faith Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids, Mn on Sunday, January 13, 2008.  Those from this area that attended were Great Grandmother; Thelma Johnson, Grandmother; Linda Dahlman, Aunts; Angie Luna and Suzie Goodin and children, Megan Lally, Brook Norman, Nichole Suhonen, Jennie Hanson, Mandy and Devon Egge, Sonet Chowdhury and Gwang Ho Lee.

PLEASE HELP

The Food Shelf Wish Tree and Food Shelf Wish Box at Bethlehem Church in Wright and

Bethany Church in Cromwell are still active thru the month of January.  The boxes are active all year at each church.  For some it is tough, lend a hand --- non-perishable food, dollars or your time as a volunteer.  (Dollars enable us to purchase food from the food bank.  We can get a lot more through the food bank than you can get at the grocery for the same amount of money.)

Trivia Answers: 3, Baseball player,

It must be January.  Not much news this week, if you have some, please e-mail me or call. Thanks.

That’s all the news from Lake Maggieincoonrapids and Hello to all those in nursing homes or hospitals.
