Wright News by Jennie K. Hanson November 14, 2005

We are fast approaching the holiday season with all its various activities. Let’s all hope and pray that we keep the “Reason for the Season” in all our plans and activities.

I guess Thanksgiving has to be my favorite holiday.  It’s the one where we stop to give thanks for all our blessings and there are no other expectations.

By the time you read this, our football team may be in the state championships again.  Boy, they sure have done a great job this year and it seems that the guys have really enjoyed playing together as a “team”! They had a couple of very close games, and were fortunate to win them, so now they will make our whole town of Cromwell-Wright proud no matter what happens at the dome.

Pastor Matt Saarem, Peggy Olson and I attended the Spirit of Youth Ministry Conference in Grand Rapids last Friday night and Saturday.  It was held at Zion Lutheran Church with over 50 area churches represented from our synod. What happens to our youth after they are confirmed?  This was the main focus and there were many reasons brought forward.  We all worked together to try to plan ways to keep our youth involved in the church.

A First Communion class will be held during the Shine 24/7 youth group soon.  This class is for all 5th and 6th graders and older who have not taken communion yet and want to start.

That’s all the news from Lake Snowisontheway , Hello to all the football players and their parents and just remember “When life gives you scraps, make quilts”.
