Wright News By Jennie K. Hanson March 21, 2006
This past week was a very important one for 4 young men from our area. They are Seth, Trace, and Trent Mowers and Robbie Larson. They have returned from their deployment in the Middle East and were honored at a Welcome Home Celebration at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell on Sunday, March 19th, 2006. These brave young guys left our area in August of 2004. Seth and Robbie were sent to Saudi Arabia and Trace and Trent went to Iraq. The 3 Mowers brothers had wanted to stay together, but the Army said that they couldn’t in case something would happen to all three of them.
These guys plan to continue their education in the fall, but they could possibly be called up again for active duty. We are all thankful for their safe return and hope they will be able to stay in the area.
Three Cromwell-Wright Elementary students were named to the 2006 Reading Rainbow YOUNG WRITERS AND ILLUSTRATORS CONTEST. Named to the Top Ten for 2nd Grade was Jenna Koenig, Top Ten for 3rd Grade was Shannon M. Genereau, and Top 30 for 3rd Grade was Kaylan Risacher. Prize winners will be honored at a celebration on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 1 PM at Marshall School in Duluth.

The Science Fair was well attended on March 14th. The students in 7th - 9th Grades presented their Science projects to the public on that evening.
