Wright News by Jennie K. Hanson January 8, 2007

Ann Heikkila, President of the Hjalmar Alto # 429 Cromwell-Wright Auxiliary wishes to announce that the meetings have changed to afternoons from now on.

No more evening meetings.  Same day, 2nd Monday of the month, time will be 1:30 PM at the Cromwell Park Pavilion.  No January or February meetings though.  Please keep track of your volunteer hours for annual reports. Hostesses for the March Meeting will be Shirley Pearson and Evie Houck. Reminder: Mark your calendar of day and time changes.  Welcome new members, support an organization that works with and for our Veterans.  Support our young men and women in Iraq.  We need them and they need us.  May God Bless them and America.

Congratulations to Erin Suhonen and Nate Johnson who got engaged on January 3, 2007.  A wedding is planned for this summer or fall.

A beautiful farewell was given to long time Cromwell resident, Wally Strand, 97, on Thursday, January 4, 2007.  He was the last surviving member of the original Bethany Lutheran Choir, so now he is singing in the heavenly choir with Karl Kalli, Dorothy Dahlman, Katharine Dahlman, Julia Beckman, Pete Peterson and Barb Walli.  Our Sympathy to his family.

There will be NO SCHOOL on January 19th and 22nd, but there will be school on the 23rd.

Homecoming is scheduled for the week of January 23rd – 26th with Coronation on the 26th.  This year’s candidates are Casey Casperson, Alissa Granholm, Heather Heino, Karen Lai, Channing Lucking, John Ammesmaki, Jordan Johnson, Grant Odegaard, Levi Sheff, and Logan Shiflett.

Please keep our local service men and women in your thoughts and prayers this year.  Those I know of are Mike Thom, Mason Hansen, Cory Schleret, Craig Freiermuth, Sherry Kedrowski, Leslie Crist, Brandon and Rebecca Burns, Robert Kedrowski, Levi Kasberg, Kristin Ceccardi Allen, Michael Heikkila, and Roby Olbekson.  Active Reserves are Robert Larson and Seth, Trace and Trent Mowers.  If you know of others, please let me know.

That’s all the news from Lake Keepyourstringonyouryoyo and Hello to all my faithful readers.
